Shangri-La Hotel Chiang Mai Hosts Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony 2024
Shangri-La Hotel Chiang Mai recently hosted its 2024 Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony, led by General Manager Gabriele Lombardo and attended by distinguished guests, including the Governor of Chiang Mai, Mr. Nirath Pongsittiwat, and his wife, along with representatives from local government agencies, the Consulate of Chiang Mai, and media outlets. The ceremony took place at the hotel’s second-floor lobby, marking the start of the Christmas celebrations in the region.
The event aimed to spread joy and warmth during the holiday season, a time of love and giving. It served as a heartfelt gesture of goodwill toward the community, including both guests of the hotel and local residents. The ceremony included a charitable initiative with 25 children from the Agape Children’s Home, who were invited to join the celebration, receive gifts, and share a special dinner with the attendees.
In addition to the festive lighting of the tree, the children from the Agape Children’s Home performed Christmas carols, adding an extra touch of cheer to the occasion. The event was a warm and joyful conclusion to the year, reflecting the spirit of giving and community. Visitors are invited to capture the Christmas magic by taking photos with the tree at the hotel’s lobby, which will remain on display until the end of the year.
